Christian Life Night (CLN)

On Wednesday nights at our church we have a program called Christian Life Night (CLN). This is a "Sunday" school program that we open up to the community. Mark and I volunteer to help cook and serve the meal and then we help clean up. I think this is our 5th year volunteering??? Last night was our end of the year party. We usually BBQ hamburgers and hot dogs and the rest of the meal is potluck. We get new color t-shirts every year on this day too! Last year they were orange - this year lime green. Anyway, we enjoy helping with this program but at the same time we are glad that it is over until fall.

This is a picture of Sarah with Sophia. Sophia is the daugther of my office assistant, Michelle, at work. As you can see - we had face painting and then the children could make the visors like Sophie is wearing.

Here is Mark grilling our burgers and dogs like he does every year.

This is a picture of the whole group singing in the sanctuary before we started with the games/activities. We had fun decorating visors, playing Bible Bingo, face painting, hunting for "buried" treasure, traveling "around the world" (this was a 3 legged race for the older kids to see who could travel "around the world" - or in this case the outside of the church - the fastest) and there was a treasure hunt. I think the kids had a lot of fun.

Here is a picture of the whole group sitting in our boat. You can see the top of the sail to our boat and it had "Ship Wrecked" written on the sail as that was the theme of our "party". And we are all in our lovely lime green shirts!!
